Looking for a simple, delicious and different fall dessert? We have you covered with our Cinnamon Sugar Sweet Potato Flatbread. It uses our base recipe Spiced Sweet Potato. Transforming it into a delicious dessert using minimal sugar. It has the essence of pumpkin pie without the hassle of making a pie. The crust is soft with a little crunch on the edges. The sweet potato mixture is creamy and with a hint of sweet and pumpkin spice.

Tips or Tricks

  • Peel and dice sweet potatoes, placing them directly into pot with cold water to prevent browning.

Ingredients

  • 2 – 7 ounces Nann Flat Bread (or any brand)

  • 4 tablespoons salted butter softened

  • 2 - 4 tablespoon cinnamon sugar

  • 1-pound sweet potatoes diced and boiled

  • 2 tablespoon salted butter

  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg plus a dash

  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • ¼ teaspoon ground coriander

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt plus a dash

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper


Directions


  1. Preheat oven to 400° F

  2. Line baking sheet(s) with parchment paper

  3. Bring a pot of water, sweet potatoes and a teaspoon of kosher salt to boil. Cook until tender. Strain.

  4. While potatoes are cooking, prep flat bread. Use 4 tablespoons softened butter and spread evenly on each flat bread.

  5. Evenly spread half of the cinnamon sugar on the flat bread. Set aside

  6. Add cooked potatoes to mixer, add 2 tablespoons butter, nutmeg, cinnamon, coriander, brown sugar, salt and black pepper. Mix until smooth.

  7. Spread mixture evenly onto flat bread.

  8. Evenly spread remaining cinnamon sugar onto sweet potatoes

  9. Bake for 10 minutes

  10. Serve.


Notes

  • This recipe uses our base Spiced Sweet Potato mix as we put in our Mushroom Stuffed Sweet Potato. One base for two desserts, savory and sweet!
