Kix Balls
Simple and quick recipe for the holidays - Kix Balls

Do you have a favorite Christmas cookie? I have quite a few, and this Kix Ball recipe is one of them. It is a delicious combination of buttery butterscotch, semi-sweet chocolate, and peanut butter. It is luxurious. I love the creamy coating with a little crunch from the cereal.

Kix Balls and Reindeer Poop Dessert
My family always called this dessert, Kix Balls. I have heard them as Reindeer Poop also.

Tips or Tricks

Length of Time

  • Prep Time - 5 minutes

  • Cook time - 1-2 minutes

Servings

  • Serving Size: 1 Kix ball

  • Servings: Roughly 24 (depending on size of balls you create)

Ingredients

  • 10 cups Kix cereal

  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate morsels

  • 11 ounces butter scotch morsels

  • 1 cup peanut butter

  • Sprinkles - optional

Directions

  1. Line sheet pan with wax paper – set aside

  2. Pour cereal into a large bowl – set aside

  3. In a microwave safe proof bowl add chocolate and butterscotch.

  9. Use the ice cream scoop to scoop out the Kix balls onto wax papered sheet pans. While wet, add sprinkles.

  10. Place in refrigerator to harden

  11. 11.  Serve
