My favorite part of puppy chow is the chocolate and peanut butter mix. This recipe includes butterscotch creating a rich indulgence. You get the crunch; you get the sweetness and now you get a yummy chocolate butterscotch goodness to go with it.

Tips or Tricks

• I chill my puppy chow prior to adding the powder sugar. This allows for less powder sugar to be used.

Ingredients

• 12-ounces semi sweet

• 11-ounces butter scotch

• 1 cup creamy peanut butter

• 12-ounces corn Chex

• 1 ½ cups powder sugar

Directions

1. In microwave safe bowl, melt chocolate and butterscotch

2. Mix in peanut butter

3. Pour over cereal

4. Put cereal in 2-gallon Ziplock bag

5. Let sit or chill for chocolate to partially harden

6. Add sugar and mix until evenly combined

7. Serve

Notes

• This recipe creates clumps of puppy chow, with a good amount of delicious ooey gooey chocolate. If you prefer no clumps, increase cereal amount.
