I forget how delicious, caramelized onions are. Scrolling through Instagram I will across a food post or reel of caramelized onions. Carnalized onions on a burger or added to pasta.

Rose Balsamic Caramelized Onions with Rice and Chicken

Cook the onions low and slow. If you try and rush it, the chance of burning it versus getting the luscious golden caramelization increases.

Ingredients
8-ounces Chicken tenderloins
4 tablespoons Rose balsamic
2 yellow onions sliced
4 tablespoons Salted butter
2 cups cooked white rice
Kosher Salt
Black Pepper
Directions
Season chicken with ½ tsp salt and 1/8 tsp black pepper
Set Aside
Melt butter in saucepan
Add onions, cook on low stirring periodically
Once caramelized, deglaze with rose balsamic
Push onions to the side, making an open space in middle of pan.
Add chicken
Cook until golden on each side, roughly 5 minutes each side.
Remove and serve on ½ cup rice.
Notes
Any type of rice will work.
Serving with lettuce - optional
