With minimal preparation, quick cooking, and easy assembly, you can have a tasty lunch or dinner ready in under 30 minutes (maybe even closer to 15 minutes). The combination of soy sauce and vinegar provides a perfect blend of salty and tangy flavors, while garlic adds a delightful aroma and kick. The pepper flakes offer a subtle heat, and the toasted sesame seeds bring a nutty aroma and taste.   • When incorporating the liquid into the browned beef, utilize a spatula to scrape the bottom of the pan. This will ensure all the flavorful bits are collected, enhancing the depth of flavor (known as deglazing the pan).

Servings

  • Serving Size: 1 tortilla

  • Servings: 4


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

  • 1 pound ground beef

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • 1 garlic minced

  • ½ teaspoon Gochugaru flakes

  • ½ teaspoon pepper flakes

  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds

  • Kosher salt

  • Black pepper

  • 4 tortillas

  • 2 cups Napa cabbage finely shredded/chopped

  • 1 cup julienned carrots

  • 2 tablespoons green onions


Directions


  1. In a saucepan on medium heat oil and brown beef seasoning with ½ teaspoon kosher salt and ¾ teaspoon black pepper

  2. Add soy sauce, vinegar, honey, garlic, Gochugaru flakes, pepper flakes, and sesame seeds

  3. Assemble burrito using ¼ beef, cabbage, carrots and green onions per burrito (or to preference)

  4. Enjoy


Notes

  • My husband and I love to make these ahead of time and freeze for quick easy meals. Pop in the microwave for 60 seconds, yum!
