Pumpkin Pita Granola recipe. No sugar added wholegrain granola with pumpkin and pita seeds. Savory granola for breakfast or snack. Balanced recipe with minimal effort.

Is there anybody else out there that enjoys a breakfast that has a delicious grain flavor? For example, a cereal that you can taste oats, corn or wheat flavors. I do!! I’ve created a few granola recipes, but this recipe, the Pumpkin Pita Granola the oats and seeds shine! Wholesome taste without any guilt. I add it to yogurt, I put it on top of my pancakes, or eat it plain.

Mixing bowl
Baking sheet
Tips or Tricks
Store in an airtight container (mason jar, vacuum sealed containers, etc.) If I know my husband and I will go through the granola fast (or use it at a celebration,) I use Ziplock bags. If I am stocking the shelf, I use mason jars.

Prep Time - 5 minutes
Cook time - 14 minutes

Serving Size: 1/2 cup

Ingredients
4 cups old fashioned oats
¾ cup salted pumpkin seeds
¾ cup pepita seeds
½ cup salted butter
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground cardamom
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon lemon zest
Directions
Preheat oven to 350° F
Mix all ingredients in a bowl
Pour onto baking sheet
Bake for 10 minutes. Pull out and stir/mix.
Bake another 4 minutes
Let cool before storing
Notes
This granola recipe was created with zero sugar added. If you would like sweetness, add a few tablespoons honey, brown sugar or granulated sugar.
