I try to save time and make life easier in areas that I can. One way I do that in the kitchen is by using 1 recipe, that is the base for many recipes. Each recipe is distinctive from each other. This Turkey, Onion and Mushroom recipes is one of my base recipes. It is delicious on its own, but it is great in other recipes too. Earthy, tasty, and filling with lean protein. If you are looking to make your life easier, this recipe is for you.

Servings

  • Serving Size: 1/4 batch

Ingredients

  • 3 ½ tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 yellow onion diced

  • 8-ounces canned mushrooms drained and sliced

  • 4 garlic cloves minced

  • 1-pound ground turkey

  • 1 ½ teaspoons kosher salt

  • ¾ teaspoons black pepper


Directions

  1. In saucepan, heat oil

  2. Add onions, season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook until translucent

  3. Add garlic and mushrooms. Cook until heated through

  4. Add ground turkey. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until fully browned.

  5. Serve


Notes

  • · Fresh or canned mushrooms will work in this recipe
