The honey sweetens the dish up while the pepper flakes give a soft heat. Eat this dish as a side or toss it on a salad. We like to put it on our Fresh and Roasted Arugula Salad.

If any brussels sprout leaves fall off while cutting them in half, don’t toss them. Add them to the pan. They will caramelize, become crispy and be a wonderful addition to the brussels sprouts.

Ingredients
1 pound brussels sprouts - halved
1 tablespoon avocado oil
1 tablespoon honey
¾ teaspoon pepper flakes
¼ teaspoon kosher salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
Directions
Preheat oven to 350° F
Line baking sheet with parchment paper
In a mixing bowl, combine oil, honey, pepper flakes, salt and pepper
Add brussels sprouts, combine thoroughly.
Toss onto baking sheet
Bake for 20 minutes
Notes
Brussels sprouts can be substituted with green beans, carrots, or potatoes. Roasting times will vary for each.
